I started painting when I was a child. I loved making art, sharing art, and playing through art. In highschool I took as many art classes as I could and then I went on to study Theatre. For a while I stopped painting, but in my last year of university I found the urge to get to the canvas again. And I was quickly reminded of why I loved it so much. When I was 25 I went back to school to become an expressive arts therapist. At the time my child was one-year old and my partner and I had to sacrifice a lot to make it all work. But somehow, we found a way. A few years ago I began running an expressive arts therapy practise which I love! But I have been longing to build a space that is just meant to share and sell my artwork.
So here we are......
On Sunday I turn 32 and this website is my gift to myself. I hope that this space will allow me to share more of my creative process and maybe even be a source of inspiration. Specifically for anyone out there who creates, but hasn't yet found the capacity to put their work out there. Trust me, I get it! But I hope you eventually come to the same place I have.
I am enough. My paintings deserve to be seen, and I am ready (enough) to be seen too.
